Becca is a club Jump IN! member and always available for help. She can hook you up with who to get some training from including her as a coach and AFF instructor.
They just completed their first comp together in Deland, I think, at the latest FSL meet and will be training for an another upcoming FSL meet in November. I think I got that right.
All I know is that four way is GREAT Training and Becca can tell you all about how valuable the tunnel is as well. So don’t be afraid to say hello.
Check out some of these pics. I played with them a little trying something different. let me know if you like it. Perfect weather.
Team “Sebastian Tempast” leaves for nationals this week in the OPEN Class. Best of luck to them! This was their last weekend. Look to your Jump IN!
What do you do without a plane? Go do something else. While the plane issue resolved itself it was the perfect opportunity to make a needed business run to Z-hills and being that far north might as well take a trip to the Springs. One of kind Florida Attraction. The Real Florida.
With Fall brings cooler campable temperatures and less crowds at one of Florida’s, bigger and less known attractions.
Ginnie Springs is known for it’s incredible camping right on one of the most unspoiled rivers in florida and right next to some of the most active fresh water springs in the South East.
Devils Eye, Ginnie, Devils Ear and Twin Deer springs pump out millions of gallons a year and the natural beauty is unparalleled.
A perfect place for a group getaway. This one springs area host over 200 acres of camping and four springs. A short 20 minute walk will give you a two hour tube ride on the river.
Again, my company made the place glow and it isn’t till I get home, go through the workflow process of editing and reviewing that I get a glimpse how lucky I am, again, we all are to live, play and just be where ever we are. These truly are some of the best times to be alive.
As time moves on I am beginning to see my own style begin to evolve and I notice that the experience and my eye are guided by not only the place but the people I am with.
Women truly carry the ability to bring out the beauty in anyplace they are comfortable in and in that space and place undoubtedly shine themselves.
Check out some pictures here!
Enjoy the Slideshow.
HP

After a particularly busy weekend of shooting I got the chance to hone my skills with a live person for some on location shooting. Buildings, Landscapes, unusual lighting and a live model to play with. great combination in the middle of an incredible romantic landscape. Quebec Canada.
It’s Quebec’s 400th anniversary. North Americas oldest city. A year long celebration. The “Images” show is not to be missed. Over 1000 feet long and 200 feet hight slide show onto an existing silo station right outside the Old City with effects. Crazy genius. About 45 min racing through the last 400 years of Quebec’s History.
I’ve often read that getting good pictures of a women is simply finding a beautiful location and smother it with her. What I find sometimes is paying attention to a women’s presence seems to bring out the beauty no matter where you are. As always when it was done I thought for sure it was a bust, but some came out pretty nice. Let me know what you think.
It’s not often I get to be a tourist. Feels kinda strange but relaxing should be something we all get good at. Jumping all the time, the events, and constantly chasing the next plane ride is a distraction in itself but never realized until one has to stop.
Somehow shooting pictures and then editing, reflecting and organizing really gives me sense of just how lucky I am, we all are.
Life could get better I guess, but then the cup would be half empty.
View Select Pics?
Enjoy the Slideshow!

Well, die hards that we are, we didn’t give up. OK, so the C-206 was backed up a few hours and sunset was manifested by 10am.
Even when Jack BROKE the ride by 12pm, no one gave up and team “Sebastian Tempest” stayed all day and made one jump.
Jill Herrington even brought a dozen Kayaks for anyone who wanted to take a quick trip on the river across the street from the DZ.
Still, it was a great day. We as a drop zone found out that we are now getting our planes from Skydive Chicago in just about a week. That means SUPER OTTERS, plural, all winter long! That news was enough to get some smiles going.
The raffel was a great success. Even with such a small group of about 20 we raised almost $400 for “Sebastian Tempest” with some great prizes to boot. Including, two nights at the Best Western, Food at local restaurants, The GRAND PRIZE, a sunset trip for 4 aboard “Story Time” donated by Eric and Julie Story. A real yacht!, which Brian won.
Patrick must have put in over $100 and I know Brian was pretty close.
There was everything in between but no skydive prizes for the most part. There was a 3min of Sexy Time with Derek and an evening with Jack, a TV, some martini glasses and a host of other goodies that attracted attention.
Jacob had the ZooBQ going strong and all ate heartily with more then enough to go around. Beer specials that killed more then one keg and emptied the refrigerator.
A big thanks to Erin, Judy and Krysta for showing up to work registration, Jill for the raffle and complete support of the event and her attempt at out door activities for the beer mentally inclined. And of course Jacob & Amanda for putting up with all our demands, requests and attitude.
Welcome to winter folks, the season is upon us and there will be a TON to do.
Thanks again for ALL the support and help during this event and we all look forward to a great season together.
Don’t forget, I’ve got a deal on Kurupee jumpsuits, check out the gear page.
HP

Joanna was out to meet us on a couple of loads and it was great to get to see our jumps on video and then get our pics taken when we hit the ground.
The group was perfect. We had enough experienced and lower time jumpers to make it work.
Ask anyone of them how much fun they had.
If this interests you at all, make sure you get your butt’s out for this “Tempest Weekend” EVENT and do whatever it takes to get on these loads. We should have video and maybe stills on one group. There will be Accuracy and a good time that night.
Anyone who was on these loads, make your voice heard and say something to the group via Club JUMP IN.
Enjoy the pics HERE.

We did three 9-ways on Saturday and then made a beach jump on Sunday as highlights to the weekend.
Wish I had pics of the RW jumps but we only have some video. Manny will be sending pics of all the happy times on the ground Saturday.
I’ve posted a few pics in the Jump In section of the beach jump. Jill and I did a wingsuit jump which came out pretty nice.
Our hearts go out to Houston and the Texas crowd hammered by Ike, and at the same time celebrated our own weather.
This was on of the first times in a long time I can remember seeing that far up the coast, absolutely perfect.
So this is a NOTICE to you all who want to start getting on some fun and bigger loads. The time is now. The experience level and the new blood are ready to go to the next level. Don’t miss out this coming weekend the 27th for the Tempest fund raiser boogie. We will be doing big ways all weekend long and looks like we will have Carlos filming and taken pictures for us too.
I will have more info on the boogie in the next day or two. So check back.
Check out a couple of Wing Suit pics HERE and come back for more in a day or two.
HP

I made it. Been gone a week plus. Now back to the computer edit GRIND.
WHAT A BLAST! Tiki Baaar was.
A little known species of migrating skydivers live in the woods of Maine. A small sect barely noticeable to many as the common man, hippie, hottie or local village tradesman.
But little does the world know that together they make up a community of sort right in the middle of God’s country, jumping out of planes and creating sorted havoc and decadence that is strangely innocent.
Not a frown to be found. A bunch of people all loving the same thing and allowing enough room for each other to enjoy, create and live.
I ran into people I haven’t seen in 15 plus years and made a bunch of new friends to boot. Quite the cast of characters as well. From builders, to cooks, pilots, gas men, woodsmen, and just about everyone I met was an artist of some sort at some level. Even attended an art opening by world renown artist “Chuck Karcher”.
Arrived on Friday early afternoon and never stopped moving. I was more then welcomed with open arms and treated like a king. The wine women in song were free........... with registration.
That’s right, an event. Not just any event. These Big Tree Jumpers were making sacred passage of a season. Summer’s end brings iffy weather and shorter days. Soon the snow will cover what everyone leaves behind eagerly awaiting everyones return.
This season ending event is one of celebration, goodbyes, cya laters and no holds bared Skydiving rated FUN.
Jumping moved through all three days smoothly with just a couple of wind holds that allowed for the implementation of the first wingsuit water landing with no parachute including a real cheerleader.
Jeff ran raft jumps all weekend and get this, people in town bring the rafts back. I can’t even see a town, a road or anything that resembles civilization, expect for The Rip Cord Cafe’ of course. Just TREES, everywhere, TREES! Brings a whole new meaning to landing on the airport. Makes one realize how spoiled we are here at Sebastian for sure.
The Tiki Bar was served up nice with $1,000’s in liquor nightly with three ice carving liquor luge’s and ceremoniously burned Sunday night to the screaming hoots, hollers and cries of locals and visitors alike.
Can’t thank all the locals enough for such a warm welcome. The free fliers took care of me by putting me up in their club room so I had a place for all my equipment and stuff.
Even got fed! Kevin and the campground smoker was a save my life deal on a weather hold trip to the woods.
Carp! It sure was good to finally get to your place and wow, what a place you have created. Who knew. Keep it up. I look forward to returning!
Thanks EVERYONE!
HP
